In our ever-escalating efforts to become carbon neutral, we have begun to electrify our forklift trucks, starting with our Manchester depot. We recently received an order for three state of the art forklift trucks, powered by battery, reducing the emissions significantly.Many areas of technology are rapidly advancing, this is leading many Industries into making the switch from IC to electric forklifts.
Electric motors and batteries are becoming less expensive, more powerful, and easier to produce. These developments are a key step into revolutionising the way warehouse and yard operatives work.
By undertaking this change, we gain the following benefits:

- Lower emissions into the environment
We approached KS Lift Trucks Ltd with an interest in making the switch to battery powered forklift trucks. This inquiry followed a visit to Doosan HQ to view the huge product range they can offer, as well as the large parts inventory and great support they can provide if we are to have any problems. This visit led to us making an order for three brand new Doosan Forklift Trucks.
In an article KS Lift Trucks Ltd posted they said:
“The models NWTT chose include the B25X-7 suited for working inside the building whilst the slightly larger B30X-7 and B35X-7 are to be used outside for loading and unloading deliveries. All trucks were specified with a 4730mm triple mast, autofill batteries, safety blue spot and 5-year manufacturer warranty. A personalised touch that was requested, was to have the trucks painted in NWTT’s corporate colours, a sleek dark green (very suitable considering the added green value the forklifts bring to the company). We more than happily obliged.”
