We have a vacancy for an experienced Class 2 Heavy Goods Driver to join our transport team operating across the North west of England.

We operate Monday to Friday 7:30am – 5pm, Saturday 7:30am – 12pm at overtime rate, all locally, so you’ll never be too far away from your base.

If successful you will be transporting a wide range of construction materials to construction sites, business premises and households. The business operates a modern fleet of vehicles and require a driver with a high level of care for their own safety and that of our customers. We are looking for drivers who are used to dealing the customers and have a warm, friendly and helpful manner to match our high service standards.

Respon­sibi­lities

  • Operate HGV vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
  • Deliver goods to designated locations, maintaining accurate delivery records in a timely manor.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Manage flatbed loads securely, adhering to weight limits and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with base and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
  • A clean driving record is preferred, any live offences must be disclosed at interview.
  • Uphold our company policies at all times.

What You’ll Need

  • At least two year’s Class 2 driving experience.
  • Hiab (vehicle mounted crane) trained preferred, not essential.

The Details

  • Full-time, Permanent 7:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday & 7:30am – 12pm Saturday at overtime rate.
  • Salary: £30,420 per annum, on 45 hours.
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Expected hours: No less than 45 per week
